ARTIST STATEMENT

My work grows from nature and story.  Our stories elevate our lives and bring us into the realm of dreams, hope, possibilities and human connection.

My intention is for my work to have an immediate, sensory impact, followed by a gradual spooling out of meaning, much like a conversation sparked by attraction, that takes place over many years.

I include a lot of little mysterious details, which may mean one thing when I place them and something different years later; one thing to me and something different to the viewer.  My hope is for the story of the work to remain alive and in motion, to keep the dialogue going with the viewer over time.
